Virtues Project Excite ALHCS Teachers

Ministry and Education Department officials thought a Virtues Workshop was so important that they postponed the re-opening of the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School by a week to allow its teachers to attend the training sessions conducted by two visiting facilitators. Next time, a similar workshop will be held for teachers at the primary schools.

A peer helper programme developed by the Anguilla Family Planning Association, in conjunction with the Caribbean Family Planning Affiliation, is going well with young people assisting others in various aspects of sexual reproductive health. The project, funded by the Canadian International Development Agency, has been undertaken in a number of regional islands.

The special needs class taught by Mrs. Carol Webster baked cupcakes, pineapple upside down cake and other goodies as part of the activities to assist them in grasping the basic curriculum of math and reading.
