What are considered travel documents on Anguilla?
A valid passport is the only travel document used to enter Anguilla. Some countries are also required to have a visa. A U.S. Green card is not a valid travel document on Anguilla.
How much is Departure Tax on Anguilla and St. Martin?

Why does St. Martin/Maarten have two names?
St. Martin is divided into two countries. French St. Martin and Dutch Sint Maarten. The airport is on the Dutch side and the ferry port is on the French side.

Yes, St. Martin is very close to Anguilla, 4.4 miles. You can also see St. Barths, Saba and sometimes Statia and St. Kitts.

Is there a flight from SXM to AXA?
Yes, Winair and Transanguilla fly daily back and forth. It is a short 15 minute flight.

Where do I arrive on Anguilla?
There are two ports of entry on Anguilla. Wallblake Airport AXA in The Valley. Blowing Point Ferry Terminal in Blowing Point.
What is required of visitors when entering Anguilla?
Whether by plane or boat, all visitors must pass through immigration where the will present their passport to the officer. The officer will also want to examine your immigration form and may ask to see your return ticket. When you clear immigration you will move on to Customs. If you have items subject to duty present your invoices to the officer and pay the duty on items you are bringing into Anguilla. Personal belongings are exempt.
Is it difficult to drive on Anguilla?
Driving is not a problem on Anguilla. Just remember to drive on the left. Speed limit is generally 30 mph and a few roads are 40 mph. Watch out for pedestrians and animals in the road. Anguilla has roundabouts so become familiar with them.

Can we hire a taxi in Anguilla?

Can we rent a scooter or motorcycle on Anguilla?
Occasionally rental companies offer scooters to rent on Anguilla but we recommend that if you want to tour the island it is best to do it in a car. With all the recent development the roads are very busy and they are not wide. Scooters are not the best mode of transportation. No motorcyle rental on Anguilla.

The national currency is the Eastern Caribbean dollar but the U.S. dollar is widely used and accepted all over the island.

Can we use a credit card on Anguilla?
Yes, all businesses on Anguilla accept credit cards, Visa and MC are most popular but AMEX is also widely used.
Are there ATM machines on Anguilla?
Yes, there are several ATM machines around the island. In The Valley there are four banks and all of them have ATM machines. There is also one at Romcan Grocery in South Hill, Palm Plaza in West End, Sydan's in Sandy Ground.

Can I come to Anguilla and get a job?
It is difficult to come to Anguilla and get a job at the current time. Anguillian belongers are always considered first for any employment and you must have a special skill or an employeer willing to hire you to get a work permit.
