Island Book Project

AHTA members are asked to support this program by inviting their guests/patrons to bring along a primary reader the next time they visit Anguilla. Any book that is appropriate for primary school children is welcome, whether new or used. The books will be used in the primary schools to foster the pleasure of reading. Teachers will be able use these books in ways that are best in their classroom; individualized instruction, reading groups, home assignments, book reports, D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) program etc.

Members are also asked to put a link to the project's web site (donated by Bob Green) www.islandbooks.ai on their own site to generate some promotion and awareness of the project.
Promotional postcards will also be distributed in the near future to all hotels, villas etc in an effort to advertise the program.

Books can be dropped off either at West End Primary School or the AHTA office.
