Anguilla's own popular string band plays original island music without the aid of amplifiers and electric. Just give them a shady spot and they will fill the air with friendly toe tapping music all afternoon or night. The beat just makes you want to dance.
To see the band live, visit Scilly Cay on Sunday afternoon. Starting with the boat ride to Scilly, a rum punch by Eudoxie, the fabulous dining selection and the Happy Hits strumming in the background, Sunday can be a very interesting day.
The Happy Hits have just released a new CD entitled "Cultivate Your Land".
A lively selection of original music written by the band about life on Anguilla. Manager Anita Otto makes sure everybody and everything is in working order.
See them play on Tuesdays at Cuisinart, Wednesdays at Pumphouse and Fridays at Cap Juluca.
