American Airlines add flights for 2006/2007

AMERICAN EAGLE WILL INCREASE FLIGHTS IN THE CARIBBEAN
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, announced today that it will increase its number of flights to Caribbean destinations during the month of December. The airline will offer additional flights to Antigua, Dominica, Anguilla, St. Thomas and St. Croix, using the ATR72 turbo-prop aircraft with capacity for 64 passengers.

“The additional flights are part of our continuous efforts to solidify San Juan as the premier Caribbean hub for American and American Eagle,” said Ed Criner, President of American Eagle in the Caribbean, Florida and The Bahamas. “The Caribbean region has always provided the traveler with secluded beaches, extraordinary food, wonderful music, and spare time to relax. The Caribbean’s economy depends mostly on tourism, and this initiative will encourage people to travel to the region.”

American Eagle’s new service is as follows:

· Three additional daily round trips between San Juan and St. Thomas, beginning Dec. 14
· One additional daily round trip between San Juan and St. Croix, beginning Dec. 14
· One additional daily round trip between San Juan and Antigua, beginning Dec. 14
· One additional round trip between San Juan and Anguilla, four days a week, beginning Dec. 14 NOTE FROM AHTA - THIS IS IN ADDITION TO THE EXISTING SCHEDULE OF 7 LATE FLIGHTS AND 3 DAYTIME FLIGHTS
· One additional round trip between San Juan and Dominica, three days a week, beginning Nov. 16 through Dec. 1, and again from Dec. 14 to Jan. 31.
