AARF

Are you looking for a dog or cat to take home from Anguilla? The Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation has a wonderful group of puppies, full grown dogs and cats waiting for a home.

Every week, new homeless animals are surrendered to, or rescued by, the organization. AARF accepts all homeless animals at no cost, and shelters them at Morlen’s Veterinary Clinic while attempting to find homes for them.
AARF’s small adoption fee of US$20.00 covers the animal’s initial flea/tick bath and examination, worming, first vaccination, and spay/neuter surgery when the animal is old enough.
If you are considering pet adoption, please come by Morlen’s Veterinary Clinic, located near the Sandy Ground roundabout, Mon-Fri, from
9 AM – 1 PM, or call 497-4600.

The mission of The Anguilla Animal Rights Foundation is:
To promote, develop and generally to assist in the humane treatment and care of animals in Anguilla.
The objectives of this Society are:
To educate the public in the humane treatment and care of animals.
To advise government on the needs of animals.
To lobby for changes in legislation as necessary to assist in achieving these objectives.
The Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation (AARF) was founded in the fall of 2000 by a number of residents of the Island who were interested in the welfare of animals. On March 19, 2001 the organization was officially registered under The Friendly Societies Act, CAP. 121 of the laws of Anguilla.

It is an all-volunteer service organization with no paid positions.

Governance:

The organization is governed by an executive committee which meets at least 6 times annually to determine policies, plan activities and establish directions to be pursued.

The General membership meets at least once per year in April. Additional meetings may be held as necessary to update members on progress and plans of the organization.

At least quarterly, a newsletter is produced on line to keep members and interested individuals up to date on the organization’s activities.
