Rent a mountain bike and ride the back roads of Anguilla. There are plenty of marl roads around the island with spectacular sights along the way. Many hotels have bicycles availiable for their guests. If you are staying in a villa, you can rent a bike from local bike rentals.

Bike Roads on Anguilla
Starting from the east end of the island these roads are mostly marl, sometimes a little rocky but usually low on vehicle traffic and very scenic.
Windward Point

Starting from either East End Village or on the main road that leads to Junks Hole the road goes all the way to the eastern point of the island, Windward Point. Along the way is Abadam Hole and some amazing rock formations along the sea. Take some water, there is nothing out there past Palm Grove Restaurant at Junks Hole.
Brimegin to Island Harbour
Begin in North Side in The Valley. The marl road runs all the way to Island Harbour, passing over the Shoal Bay road on the way. Currently most of this road is marl. Along the way you pass Pitch Apple hole but there is no sign so it is difficult to find. Albert Lake has a gravel and cement plant along the road so it can get dusty at that point. Shoal Bay has restaurants on the beach, a very short detour during the trip.
Around Sandy Ground Salt Pond
Just a short bike trip but easy because it is flat all the way. Start at the area around Anguilla Rums and just follow the road into Sandy Ground. Keep going when you get to the end of the paved road and go all the way around the salt pond to end up where you started. Interesting points along the way are the village of Sandy Ground to start, lots of old style houses and Anguilla style boats next the salt pond is a host to many bird species, next the hydroponic lettuce farm and Roadwell Cafe for a light snack. Anguilla Rums has rum tasting.

Road Point in North Hill to Limestone Bay
Begin at Road Point overlooking Sandy Ground in North Hill. The road is marl along the cliff. In North Hill the road is black top for about a mile (low traffic) then becomes marl again. Follow the marl road all the way to Crocus Hill where it becomes blacktop for about a mile. Turn right past the old cottage hospital and follow the road all the way to Limestone Bay. Along the way pass Iguana cave, Little Bay and finally Limestone Bay where the road ends. The road at Crocus Bay passes close to Roy's Restaurant on the beach but be aware that the hill has a serious grade. A side road will take you to Blackgarden bay..

Long Bay to South Hill
Short ride. Begin at Long Bay Village and follow the marl road to South Hill near Anguilla Trading. Along the way pass the high cliffs overlooking Sandy Ground. From this point you can see both the north coast and the south coast of Anguilla. Near South Hill you will pass the old prison building a short distance off the road in the bush.
