Optimistic Double Rum Punch

Prepare from one day to one month before serving. "It ages well and so will you."
|
In a blender place:
-
Say one cup of Bob's famous 7-Bag Herbal Tea
-
Half cup or so of orange juice or pineapple/orange juice or orange/tangerine juice
-
(If you wish add a small amount of ripe banana or other ripe fruit – not too much)
-
Two shots of Rhum Barbancourt (Réserve Special preferred)

Two shots of Mount Gay Rum (may also add a dark rum if desired)

Less than one shot of an orange liqueur, say Triple Sec
-
A few grinds of fresh nutmeg (don't use pre-ground)

Handful of ice cubes
Run blender. Put Punch in large bottle, adding a bit more fresh nutmeg, and refrigerate for a day to a month (it mellows). Keep adding fresh made punch to the bottle, mixing with well-aged stock (the Solera System!).
Serve over ice straight as a short drink, or over ice diluted with the Herbal Tea as a tall drink. A grind of nutmeg on top, garnish as desired.
