Foootball: Kicks United Defeat Attackers


Kicks United FC have defeated Attackers FC to gain supremacy in the AFA 2006 Senior Male Football League. During the first half the Kicks United scored two goals and dominate the first half causing Sugar George of the Attackers to an early sub after numerous mistakes by his defender Wayne Laudat. Attackers’ midfield was in shambles after their main midfielder Kimani Winston was out of the game due to 3 yellow cards. Junior Anthony tried hard in Midfield but was overworked by the consistent pressure of the Kicks Forwards.

The Attackers Striker sham was always shut out by three men from Kicks United preventing him from any opportunity of scoring. The Kicks United has done their homework and was well prepared and disciplined for this match, at 3:00pm they were already on the field warming up. Kenny Williams scored the first goal in the 23rd minute and 8 minutes later Lesroy Benjamin put the second goal in the back of the net for Kicks United.
From ball one you can see that Kicks United was the hungrier of the teams and they were going for the championship.

In the second half Barrington Wright of the Kicks United scored in the 50th minute. Attackers then went on the Attack scoring their first goal by Melvin Angal in the 65th minute making the scores Attackers 1 Kicks United 3 then in the 82nd minute a mistake by goal keeper Darius of the Attackers who came out of his goal missed the ball and Gavin Berridge took that opportunity to score after he was sent in as a substitute. Five minutes (87 min.) later Melvin Angal from the Attackers scored and 2 minutes later Melvin Angal again from the Attackers scored his 3rd goal.

The score was now Kicks United 4 goals and Attackers 3 goals, the Attackers fans started chanting and jumping but that still did not help Sugar George and the Attackers. When the final whistle was blown 8minutes after with some over time you can see the jubilation of the Kicks United Players and Fans and the stress on Sugar George and his Fans. Buck eye burglar bars did not help the attackers but Mally certainly stop Sugar George from talking.

Football fans are invited to bring your Orange & Green rags to the football field.It will be the clash of Roaring Lions FC and Spartan FC, on Sunday 25th February at 3:30pm. This will be the last match of the League before the Knock Out.
